• Contact information: email address, phone number, physical address
• Financial information: payment method details (processed by Stripe — we do not store card numbers)

• Service data: domain names, email addresses registered under your account, website content you upload

3. Why we process your information

We process your personal information for the following lawful purposes:

• Contract performance: to provision your domain, hosting account, email mailboxes, and website
• Billing: to generate invoices, process payments, and manage renewals
• Communication: to send service notifications, invoices, and your welcome guide
• Legal compliance: to maintain records as required by applicable law
• Legitimate interest: to improve our services and prevent fraud

4. Who we share your information with

We share your personal information only where necessary:

• Stripe: payment processing (their privacy policy applies to card data)
• Domain registrars (e.g. domains.co.za): to register or transfer your domain
• Our hosting infrastructure (WHM/cPanel): to provision your hosting account
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Right of access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Right to correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
• Right to deletion: request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements

6. How long we keep your data

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and for a further period as required by applicable law (typically 5 years for financial records). When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted.

7. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted storage, TLS in transit, access controls, and regular backups. No system is 100% secure; in the event of a data breach we will notify you and the Information Regulator as required by law.

8. Consent

By ticking the POPIA consent checkbox during signup, you confirm that you have read this notice and consent to the processing of your personal information as described above. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, noting that withdrawal may affect your ability to use our services.
